Last week my boys made me feel the happiest mother in the world. On one side my twins received their IGCSE ( International General Certificate of Secondary Education)award, and my older son playing first cello with his classmates in the University Orquestra of Gran Canaria. Great sacrifices receive great rewards!!

This is my first block of the Sal organized by Anne from France and I 'm determined to finish it . When I bought the threads from DMC I realized how beautiful this proyect would be . The colours match up perfectly and it reminds me of winter.

Flores de invierno en el Jardín Canario I

Unlike of what happened in the North Hemisphere , the winter here is beeing very warm so far. Comfortable temperatures and few rainy days . This may be the reason I found so many flowers in the "Jardín Canario " so early this year . It has been very difficult to choose some of them to post.

Cuando recojo los últimos adornos Navideños acabo este bonito gráfico de " Perrette Samouiloff " .Me gustó mucho trabajar estas Hadas en Navidad y ahora pensaré que acabado puedo darle.

Empezando....

Hoy hace un día magnífico con mucho sol y luz . Eso me ha animado a empezar el año con este gráfico de la casa " Carriage House Samplings " titulado " Mr. and Mrs. Abbott and Daughters "

Lo compré en forma de kit y su tela tiene un 40-count con la que nunca he trabajado . Creo que este gráfico lo haré poco a poco y siempre en la terraza donde hay mucha luz , aunque aquí eso abunda y seguro que avanzaré rápidamente en él !!

Un Belén en la playa

Visitar algunos Belenes es algo que solemos hacer en Navidad. Aquí hay uno que nunca dejamos de ir a ver y es el Belén de arena que el Ayuntamiento patrocina en la playa de Las Canteras.

Es un Belén muy grande ,efímero y distinto cada año. Siete escultores de todo el mundo son contratados para hacer esta obra . Este año hay un Ruso , un Canadiense , un Norteamericano , dos Holandeses , un Irlandés y un Español . Pasar unas Navidades tan cálidas permite hacer estas cosas.
